The Undying Maiden - Expanded Edition

The Towerfall ruins are a cursed location that supposedly has treasure, but almost no one returns alive from. The Undying Maiden was one such returnee who has been cursed to die every 28 days in some horrible manner. She's tried to die in less traumatic ways, but something invariably goes wrong to make it lingering and horrible. She has sought magic users to break the curse without success. She's even died repeatedly to those who thought she was a demon or witch, but always she returns alive the next day. Townsfolk avoid her, but she has used many means to try finding someone to help her break this curse.

     The Undying Maiden is an adventure designed to slip into any existing game with minimal adjustment, regardless of character level. Use it to add a bit of depth to one of your cities or as a small side-story for your game. There's no single solution, but instead a number of variables that will allow your players to work out a solution that fits their play style.

     Originally created as part of the 2024 ShadowDark Weird Tales Game Jam, it placed 17th and after a lot of positive feedback, it has been refined and expanded from 8  to 16 full pages.
